The Yale Center for Business and the Environment merges the Yale School of Management and the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies, working to advance business solutions to global environmental problems. Its joint-degree program in business and the environment, launched in 1982, is the oldest in the United States. In addition to five degree programs, the center engages in research in three areas: Management and Products, Finance & Markets, and Entrepreneurship and Innovation.

These schools have more than 150 years of experience studying organizational and ecological systems, and have a history of building interdisciplinary connections. The Center for Business and the Environment also offers events that are open to the public, including the upcoming How Can Business Lead Us Toward Global Sustainability? on March 31st from 11:45 am – 12:45 pm.

Todd Cort, Faculty Advisor for the Yale Center for Business and the Environment, works at the intersection of sustainability and investor value, to identify the tools, mechanisms, metrics, and indicators that create the greatest value for investors, businesses, and society.
