The Aresty Institute of Executive Education at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton Business School announced earlier this month that it has joined the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) – the standard-setter for developing boardroom leadership practices. With this partnership, the nation’s first collegiate business school links students, professionals, and alumni with the NACD institutional network of continuous learning opportunities that can ultimately lead participants to NACD Directorship Certification.

According to Wharton professor of management Michael Useem, codirector of Wharton Executive Education’s governance programs, “Becoming a vigilant director and board leader have become all the more vital in an era of company change, market disruption, and governance challenges. We are delighted to join with NACD and its partners in providing directors and executives with research and action for board oversight and leadership of the enterprise.”
