Tavis Smiley Visits Miami Book Fair Tonight at Miami Dade College

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The annual Miami Book Fair, which began November 13^th and runs though November 20^th, welcomes Tavis Smiley this evening, November 16^th, at 8:00 PM. Smiley is currently the host of the late-night television talk show Tavis Smiley on PBS, as well as the Tavis Smiley Show and Smiley & West on Public Radio International. He has been honored as one of Time magazine’s “The World’s 100 Most Influential People.”

Smiley will be discussing Before You Judge Me: The Triumph and Tragedy of Michael Jackson’s Last Days, which he co-authored with David Ritz. This book chronicles the 16 weeks leading up to Michael Jackson’s death with compassion and honesty. The book also celebrates the King of Pop’s life and his efforts to create a spectacular series of shows.

Tickets for this event are $15, and can be purchased on site. The venue is the Chapman Auditorium on the Miami Dade College campus.
