Tonight’s Miami Book Fair Evening With series will feature Annette Gordon-Reed, Pulitzer Prize and National Book Award-winning historian, and Peter S. Onuf, Jefferson scholar. At 6:00 PM, they will be discussing their book Most Blessed of the Patriarchs: Thomas Jefferson and the Empire of the Imagination, a character study of our nation’s third president.

The book is divided into three sections, Part I, “Patriarch,” covering Jefferson’s origins in Virginia; Part II, “Traveller,” covering his five years in Paris; and Part III, “Enthusiast,” focusing on his views on Christianity, race, and slavery.

Tickets for this event are $15 each, and can be purchased on site. The venue is the Chapman Auditorium on the Miami Dade College, Wolfson campus.

The Miami Book Fair began November 13th and runs through November 20th, with the Street Fair taking place November 18th – 20th in Downtown Miami, 300 N.E. 2nd Avenue.
