Walter Isaacson at Miami Book Fair Saturday, November 18th
The Miami Book Fair started November 12, 2017, and Walter Isaacson on Leonardo da Vinci takes place Saturday, November 18, 2017, at 1:00 PM in the Chapman Conference Center, Building 3, second floor, Room 3210 (300 NE Second Ave., Miami, FL 33132).
Walter Isaacson, University Professor of History at Tulane, is formerly CEO of the Aspen Institute, Chairman of CNN, and Editor of Time magazine. He has also written six books, including The Innovators; Steve Jobs; Einstein: His Life and Universe; Benjamin Franklin: An American Life; and Kissinger: A Biography, and co-authored The Wise Men: Six Friends and the World They Made.
His newest book is Leonardo da Vinci (Simon & Schuster). Isaacson reviewed thousands of pages from da Vinci’s notebooks to assemble a narrative connecting da Vinci’s art to his science, demonstrating how his genius was based on skills we can improve in ourselves: passionate curiosity, careful observation, and a playful imagination.
