Intercontinental Wildlife Photography and Exotic Birds Art Exhibition at Harvard Gutman Library

On Thursday, April 28, and Friday, April 29, 2023, Arbor Day, Karen Albert, CEO/Publisher-Photographer/Senior Executive Coach, and her A-Team photographer colleague Carl Balancione, displayed outstanding prime samples from their wildlife photography and exotic birds portfolios, inside the Harvard Graduate School of Education Gutman Library.

The Exhibition was part of the awesome annual Harvard ARTS FIRST Festival presented by the Office for the Arts that features student artists — as well as faculty, staff, alums, and affiliates. This venue showcases the creativity of Harvard arts community through performances, art exhibitions, and art-making activities.

The Exhibit’s Arbor Day setting was especially noteworthy, since it had been moved from the back of the Library to the front entrance, fully visible as the constant flow of students and numerous guests arrived, with additional easels just to the right of the main entrance.

Predominantly on view where Karen and Carl sat at the main table were Carl’s brilliantly colorful bird friends. Most importantly, we asked visitors to sign our guestbook. Their comments were uniformly very positive, useful, and sometimes even illuminating, and deeply moving.

Each of Karen Albert’s “subjects” posed intelligently on the easels opposite the main table. Visitors were enchanted, and overall for Karen, an alumna, it was a highly successful reunion with Harvard Graduate School of Education (HGSE), a dynamic and innovative leadership learning institution.
