Venkat Ramaswamy, Co-Creation Expert
Venkat Ramaswamy, Hallman Fellow of Electronic Business and Professor of Marketing at the University of Michigan Ross School of Business, is a globally recognized thought leader and practitioner in innovation, strategy, marketing, branding, IT, operations, and the human side of the organization. He is also an expert in Co-Creation.
Ramaswamy, along with C.K. Prahalad, in their 2004 award-winning book The Future of Competition, coined the term Co-Creation, a revolutionary business concept. Co-Creation involves redefining the way organizations engage individuals — customers, employees, suppliers, partners, and other stakeholders –bringing them into the process of value creation and engaging them in enriched experiences, in order to formulate new breakthrough strategies; design compelling new products and services; transform management processes; lower risks and costs; and increase market share, loyalty, and returns.
In addition to his teaching responsibilities and speaking engagements, Professor Ramaswamy is currently focusing on researching and writing two books, The Co-Creational Enterprise: Innovating Valuable Experiences Together With Stakeholders through Engagement Platform Ecosystems, and Co-Creation Theory and Practice: Expanding Wealth-Welfare-Wellbeing in Society and Economy.
