In response to the challenges and opportunities globalization presents, Columbia University has established a network of Global Centers around the world. There are currently eight Columbia Global Centers, in the following locations:

* Rio de Janeiro
Each center leverages the university’s intellectual capacities and pursues core activities, while remaining aware of the unique circumstances and priorities of the host region.
