Stanford Graduate School of Business Offers New Programs for 2018

Stanford Graduate School of Business (GSB) Executive Education is offering two new programs for 2018.

Big Data, Strategic Decisions: Analysis to Action (August 5 – 10, 2018) – Designed for senior-level executives who want to harness data in their organizations for greater advantage, and decision-makers who want to improve their knowledge in data and analytics, this program brings together faculty from the Stanford GSB and Stanford School of Engineering to present conceptual frameworks and tools. Each afternoon, participants will work on a real data challenge with a small team and data analyst. Silicon Valley leaders at the forefront of data analytics will share experiences on the best ways to leverage data in a business context, and faculty will offer insights into machine learning; the future of artificial intelligence; and the risks, perils, and ethics of using big data.

People, Culture, and Performance: Strategies from Silicon Valley (August 19 – 24, 2018) – Designed for senior leaders responsible for talent strategy, culture, and overall business performance (including SVPs, VPs, and directors responsible for human resources, talent management, talent development, or functional areas such as engineering, sales, R&D, etc.), this program offers the opportunity to rethink, reinvent, and retool one’s approach to talent management, utilizing a startup mind-set and models for scaling up performance. Participants will apply design thinking principles and processes to change the way jobs and organizations can be structured.
