Stanford Graduate School of Business Offers New Executive Education Programs

Stanford Graduate School of Business, ranked in the top 10 for 2014 open executive education programs by Financial Times, is offering a new four-day program titled The Innovative CIO: Leadership, Innovation, and Global Change. It is designed to address the needs of global Fortune 500 companies’ senior-level technology executives with at least 10 to 15 years of management experience and responsibility for building and deploying technology to serve the enterprise. Appropriate titles include Chief Information Officer, Chief Marketing Officer, Chief Technology Officer, Vice President of Information Technology, and Vice President of Product Development.

Since leaders of technology enablement and suppliers of innovation are often familiar with the details of how a business works across functions, as well as what critical customer and supplier issues are, they are in a unique position to drive change and leverage technology broadly across the enterprise. This program offers information on current and future economic, political, and social trends that are driving innovation, equipping participants with the tools to help their business lead with innovation-enabled information technology.

In addition to classroom sessions with Stanford faculty, a discussion panel with noted venture-capital leaders, and informal discussions, participants will take part in a hands-on session at The Institute of Design at Stanford, gaining valuable perspectives on how nontechnical design principles can add value to leading-edge information technology.

In addition to this program for CIOs, Stanford will be offering a new, two-module Entrepreneurship program for both large and small companies beginning in August 2015, led by Faculty Director Yossi Feinberg.
