Soumitra Dutta Begins Term as AACSB International Chair
On July 1, 2017, Soumitra Dutta began a one-year term as Chair of the Board of Directors of AACSB International (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business).
Soumitra Dutta is founding dean of Cornell University’s SC Johnson College of Business and has volunteered with AACSB for more than six years. He was elected to the AACSB International Board of Directors in 2014 as a member, and in 2016 as Vice Chair-Chair Elect. Dutta has served on multiple committees, including the 2020 Committee and the Committee on Accreditation Policy. In addition, he was Chair of the Innovation Committee, which helps incubate ideas and a continued vision for business education.

Dutta is a prominent speaker and an authority on new technology and innovation policy. He is author and co-editor of the Global Information Technology Report, published by the World Economic Forum, and the Global Innovation Index, published by the World Intellectual Property Organization, both of which are used extensively by governments for planning technology and innovation strategies.
