NYU Stern Center for Sustainable Business – A Better World through Better Business

The NYU Stern Center for Sustainable Business (CSB) aims to ensure that current and future business leaders develop the knowledge and skills to address environmental and social challenges in ways that reduce risk; create competitive advantage; and develop innovative services, products, and processes. The center equips leaders to do all of these while building value for society and protecting the planet.

CSB core strategies are to:

* Deliver popular sustainability courses for undergrad, graduate, and executive students, incorporating sustainability into the core

* Develop and disseminate original research, targeted at improving uptake and performance of sustainable practices in key industries

* Build the CSB organizational profile through alumni, faculty, and student engagement, media outreach, and development activities

* Help student develop the skills, experience, and contacts need to pursue careers in sustainability

The center is Stern’s primary partner with other NYU initiatives focused on sustainability and the environment, including the Department of Environmental Studies in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences; the Guarini Center on Environment, Energy, and Land Use Law at NYU School of Law; The Center for Global Public Service and Social Impact at the NYU Wagner School; and the Urban Future Lab at NYU Tandon School of Engineering.

The center hosts events promoting sustainability, including the upcoming “Tomorrow & Beyond: An Evening with Dr. Jane Goodall,” on Monday, April 10, 2017, 6:30 – 8:30 PM at the John A. Paulson Auditorium (Tisch UC-50), 40 West 4th Street.
