Kennedy Space Center Feature Events
The Kennedy Space Center (KSC), on the Florida peninsula that is so famous for memorable rocket launches, is expanding, with a number of recently-built skyscraper-like facilities on the horizon for new companies such as Blue Horizons, as well as SpaceX, ULA (United Launch Alliance) – the joint venture between Lockheed Martin Space Systems and Boeing Defense, Space & Security – and more.
Among other facilities and features at KSC, the ATX (Astronaut Training Experience); several VIP conference rooms, each laden with state-of-the art technology; and especially the dramatic, huge hangar experience of viewing, up-close, the actual Atlantis Space Shuttle, offer a once-in-a lifetime experience!
KSC features rocket launches, offering the closest public viewings from Kennedy Space Center and Cape Canaveral Air Force Station.
Upcoming launches include:
* November 15, 2018, SpaceX Falcon 9 Es’hail-2 – Will send Qatar’s Es’hail-2 satellite into geostationary orbit
* December 4, 2018, SpaceX Falcon 9 CRS-16 – Will deliver the next shipment of cargo and science investigations to the International Space Center, marking the 16th SpaceX mission under NASA’s Commercial Resupply Services contract
