IMD and Cisco Collaborate on Digital Business Transformation

Cisco will donate $10 million to IMD (International Institute for Management Development), making it the leading destination worldwide for research, innovation, and leadership to drive digital transformation in all industries. This contribution will fund the Cisco Chair in Digital Business Transformation and create the IMD/Cisco Global Center for Digital Business Transformation, which will be fully operational by Summer 2015 at IMD’s campus in Lausanne, Switzerland.

This collaboration combines IMD’s expertise in developing global leaders with Cisco’s leadership in providing technology solutions for the Internet of Everything (IoE). It will combine original research and Cisco Consulting’s open innovation approach to generate practical insights executives can apply directly to their businesses. The Global Center for Digital Business Transformation will employ full-time researchers from both Cisco and IMD, with the goal of becoming A world-leading hub of research and innovation. The Center will work to define digital business transformation, what it means for companies today, and how to stay relevant in today’s competitive marketplace, helping executives take advantage of digital opportunities and neutralize digital threats.
