Harvard Business School Offers Senior Executive Program – Africa

 

 

 

 

 

Harvard Business School Executive Education is launching a new program, the Senior Executive Program – Africa, in partnership with the Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS) of Pretoria University in South Africa. The program is comprised of a one-week module in Cape Town, an independent work module, and a one-week module on the Harvard Business School campus.

The program is designed for experienced senior executives in African companies, with at least 15 years of work experience and significant responsibility for strategic decision-making. Participants will explore best practices in strategy, innovation, competitive advantage, leading effectively, and improving governance. They will gain the knowledge, perspective, and confidence to lead more effectively.

Topics include:

Module 1: Strategy, Innovation, and Leadership

* Designing a winning strategy

* Fostering innovation

* Becoming a more effective leader

Module 2: Independent Business Challenge

Participants will return to the workplace and apply the concepts and skills covered in the first module, including leadership skills. They will also reflect on the results and gather questions to share with faculty and peers in the third module. They also use this time to work on the business challenge they identified before the start of the program.

Module 3: Thinking Globally, Driving Local and Regional Growth, and Sustaining Success
