Featured Harvard Executive Education Course: Driving Digital and Social Strategy
In this constantly changing digital age, it is important for successful executives to think critically and strategically about their digital and social plans.
This new course, Driving Digital and Social Strategy, aims to equip participants with the tools needed to structure a successful and results-driven plan. The course centers around four themes: rethinking customers and industries; designing social and digital strategy; implementing digital and social strategies; and developing organizational capabilities. Facebook, Bank of America, and the New York Times are all companies whose brand and media strategy will be discussed. Participants will include corporate strategy decision-makers: Executives, General Managers, and Division Leaders. Teams are encouraged to apply.
Program Goals:
-Gain a clear understanding of the roles that digital and social media play in business strategy
-Examine relationship between business and customers
-Understand and identify opportunities for new markets
-Leverage the economic impact of these strategies
Faculty members include Sunil Gupta and Mikolaj Jan Piskorski. Gupta is the Edward W. Carter Professor of Business Administration at Harvard, and is the Chair of the General Management Program. His research centers on customer management and digital marketing. He has written articles for major journals, and also co-authored two books. Piskorski is a Richard Hodgson Fellow at the Harvard Business School, and is an Associate Professor of Business Administration. He also teaches his own elective course, Competing with Social Networks. He too is a prolific writer for education journals.
The course takes place on Harvard Business School’s Boston campus, and is meeting this week, until Thursday, March 13th and will be meeting next year in March.
