EFMD Higher Education Research Conference
EFMD will hold its fourth annual Higher Education Research Conference June 3 – 4, 2015 at the University of Oxford’s Saïd Business School in Oxford, United Kingdom. The conference will focus on the theme of “The Legitimacy and Impact of Business Schools and Universities,” and brings together academics from management, higher education, and other fields to discuss topics related to Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and business schools.
Keynote speakers for this conference include: Mats Alvesson, Professor of Management at Lund University School of Economics and Management in Sweden, who will present “Logics of Higher Education: Qualification, Customer-Satisfaction or Looking Good;” Alis Oancea, Associate Professor in the Philosophy of Education at the University of Oxford, UK, who will discuss “Universities and Society: Research Impacts and Ecologies of Value;” and Jeffrey Pfeffer, Thomas D Dee II Professor of Organizational Behavior at the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University in the United States, whose topic is “Business School Legitimacy: How the Naked Emperor Perseveres.”
