eBay Ranks Among the Best Global Brands in Interbrand 2016 Report

In Interbrand’s 2016 Best Global Brands report, eBay is ranked among the best global brands, coming in at No. 32.

To be included in Best Global Brands, a brand must have “expanded across established economic centers of the world and entered major growth markets” and meet the following requirements:

* At least 30% of revenue must come from outside of the brand’s home region
* Have a significant presence in Asia, Europe, and North America, with broad geographic coverage in emerging markets
* Have sufficient publicly available data on the brand’s financial performance
* Economic profit must be expected to be positive over the longer term, delivering a return above the brand’s cost of capital
* Have a public profile and awareness across the major economies of the world.
