Due to the Canada-Ontario Job Fund Agreement Ontario and the federal government signed on March 24, 2014, employers can invest in their workforces. The Canada-Ontario Job Grant (COJG) provides direct financial support to employers who want to deliver short-term training to existing and new employees, and will:
* Provide up to CAD 10,000 (10,000 Canadian dollars) in government support per person for training costs
* Require employers to contribute one-third of the total costs (there is flexibility for small businesses to provide an in-kind contribution to their share of the costs)
