ACI Executive Education Partner Profile: UC Berkeley

The Center for Executive Education at UC Berkeley offers Open Enrollment and Custom courses in the picturesque and vibrant Bay Area of California.

Designed by forward-thinkers, courses are offered in Management, Leadership, Innovation, Finance, Marketing, and Communication and Negotiation. UC Berkeley also offers a prestigious Certificate of Business Excellence for those who complete 17 days of executive programs within three years. All courses are on site.

Faculty members for the Center for Executive Education at UC Berkeley include nine Nobel Laureates, four Pulitzer Prize winners, and 32 MacArthur Fellows. Toby E. Stuart, the Leo Helzel Chair in Entrepreneurship and Innovation, and Faculty Director, Lester Center for Entrepreneurship, is a fine example of the faculty. Stuart received his Ph.D. from the Graduate School of Business at Stanford, and also graduated summa cum laude from Carleton College. He was previously a Charles Edward Wilson Professor of Business Administration at Harvard Business School and an Arthur J. Samberg Professor of Leadership and Strategy at Columbia Business School. His research focuses on social networks, venture capital networks, and the role of creation of new firms. He received the 2007 Kauffman Prize Medal for Distinguished Research in Entrepreneurship, which is granted every other year to recognize one individual’s contributions to entrepreneurship research.

Courses are offered at the Haas School of Business. The building was designed by Charles Moore, and consists of three connected buildings around a central courtyard. There are classrooms, computer labs, a career center, and a library.

There are many hotels within ten minutes of the school, some of which offer discounts to UC Berkeley students. While in San Francisco, participants are sure to enjoy the Bay and Silicon Valley areas.
