ACI Executive Education Partner Profile: Babson College
Babson College, a valued ACI partner school, offers multiple executive education and entrepreneurship programs in subjects such as Finance, Strategic Planning and Management in Retail, Leadership, and IT Leader Development. Babson also offers an exemplary MBA program, the Blended Learning MBA Program, which has been ranked No. 1 in entrepreneurship for 20 consecutive years by U.S. News & World Report. The Blended Learning program is available at both Babson’s main campus in Wellesley and at Babson San Francisco.
With its main campus located in Wellesley, Massachusetts, Babson College offers world-class executive education in a suburban setting. Since its founding in 1919, Babson College has emphasized combining class work with business training in order to offer its students practical experience as well as academic knowledge. Two tenets of Babson’s unique strategy are Entrepreneurship of All Kinds™ and Entrepreneurial Thought and Action®. The former refers to Babson’s holistic-minded approach to entrepreneurship, and the latter refers to Babson’s methodology of using entrepreneurship as a lens to analyze the world and solve problems beyond the scope of business.
Babson College’s executive education department offers a wide variety of open enrollment programs, custom programs, blended learning, and thought leadership. In addition to traditional classes, Babson also hosts free monthly Webinars covering business leadership topics and trends.
Entrepreneurial activity at Babson College is focused at The Arthur M. Blank Center for Entrepreneurship, which houses the Babson College Entrepreneurship Research Conference, Diana Project, Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM), and John E. and Alice L. Butler Accelerator Program. The Arthur M. Blank Center utilizes co-curricular programs and global research initiatives in order to develop the practice of Entrepreneurship of All Kinds™.
Also of note is Babson’s Executive Conference Center, an executive business center located on the Wellesley campus that provides a space for executive teams to meet, collaborate, manage change, and plan the futures of their organizations. Executive teams utilizing the Executive Conference Center may stay in guest rooms on-site and dine at three Center dining locations. The Executive Conference Center has received the Planner’s Choice Award from Meeting News and the Pinnacle Award from Successful Meetings Magazine for seven consecutive years. Conference center clients are also given access to Babson faculty members.
