ABA Stonier Opens with Largest Class in Nearly Three Decades

The American Bankers Association Stonier Graduate School of Banking opened its 2018 session last week with over 720 students, which is the largest class since 1990.

The one-week program takes place at the Wharton School in Philadelphia, in partnership with Wharton’s Aresty Institute of Executive Education, and focuses on preparing future industry leaders in areas such as capital planning, enterprise risk management, marketing strategy, technology, and innovation. It also includes Wharton’s “Looking Glass” simulation platform.

Between the first and second years, there are two written assignments in the areas of bank performance analysis, and economics or marketing. A capstone strategy project is required between the second and third years. In each of the second and third years, participants select four electives.
