The MIT Media Lab received a $1.2 million grant from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation for the Future of News initiative, which will apply research to challenges faced by newsrooms in the 21st century. The Future of News is designing, testing, and making creative tools that help newsrooms move ahead aggressively in a time of rapid change.
