Executive Education Never Ending

University of Asia and the Pacific Ortigas campus, Manila, Philippines

When the Financial Times released its annual rankings of Executive Education providers in May 2018, their cover story focused on MBA alumni going back to school. More and more in these competitive and ever-changing times, it is necessary for everyone, not just MBA holders, to ensure that their skills and knowledge are current. This is where Executive Education comes in. According to the Financial Times, approximately 26.1% of respondents who enrolled in advanced management programs and 21.5% of individuals who enrolled in lower-level general management programs already had an MBA.

In the Financial Times rankings, six of the top ten business schools in Executive Education are in Europe: IESE Business School (Spain), IMD (Switzerland/Singapore), London Business School (United Kingdom), HEC Paris (France), and SDA Bocconi (Italy). Attending these schools offers the advantage of being highly global in faculty, participants, and teaching materials. This is IESE’s fourth consecutive year as the No. 1 provider of programs.

This July, IESE and University of Asia and the Pacific (UA&P) will offer a new program for general managers, business owners, and C-suite executives of companies who have at least 10 years of executive experience. Comprised of two five-day modules focused on driving growth and leading in the global economy, the Global Executive Program addresses the need for business executives in the Philippines to think more globally while acting locally. The first module, to be held in Manila, will focus on current strategy and mapping out strategic actions necessary for future growth, macroeconomic frameworks for assessing business opportunities, and refining leadership qualities and crafting a leadership agenda. The second module, which takes place in Barcelona, will address how to harness the digital revolution, global economic outlook, innovation and design thinking, and creative negotiations.
